Carl Chaplin Carl has been brought up into a musical family and has an extensive knowledge of most music styles. He started his career as most DJs do - in the bedroom. Back in 1997 he was handed his first set of decks and played what would now be referred to as "Old Skool House," along with the odd rave anthem. He was then approached by a local promoter and toured the local bars (The Polo Bar - Bexleyheath, The Metro Bar - Sidcup, The Waterfront Bar - Docklands amongst others). His big break came when he was invited to warm up the large crowds for 2 nights at The Olympia Wine Festival - Kensington. Since Carl has joined Platinum Promotions he has become a familiar face behind the decks at venues across London. Venues include the Tattershall Castle Night Club - Embankment, Grange City and Grange Holborn Hotels, Outdoor Events in Kent, Queen's House - Greenwich, Winchester House - Putney, Corvino's - Kensington, Marriott Grosvenor Square, Millenium Hotel - Mayfair, St James's Club - Regent Street, Lincoln's Inn - Holborn and various private house parties, weddings and corporate events. Carl's preferred music style is varied, from piano and vocal house classics, old skool rave, funky house, dance and trance, right through to the latest floorfillers and club tunes. He has a number of hard to find dance tunes that you forgot ever existed together with the Platinum Play list comprising of 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
