Greetings Survivors,

Next weekend's Survival Of the Fittest is nigh. We thought it was time to let you in on the schnizzle regarding your very own After Party: Novemberfest. Read on to find out about beer and party shenanigans. Do make sure you watch out early next week for your FINAL EVENT INFORMATION EMAIL, with all the Survival info to make sure you get the most out of your weekend. 12th November 2011, after you've raced Survival. All this Surviving is thirsty work, so what better way to toast your own Survival next weekend than with a crisp cold Stein of beer, in the spectacular setting of our very own Battersea Power Station Bierhalle. And with the leaves of autumn falling, the season of drinking German beer is (kind of) upon us, so we thought, well, it’s time for Novemberfest!

The Survival After Party will unfold in the stunning Boiler House Venue, right in the heart of the Power Station. With a bar running from midday, table service and beer hall seating, plus frothy Steins of German lager, (and some real ales) an authentic Novemberfest vibe is guaranteed! And for those who prefer their grapes to their hops, we will have some free wine sampling by Redwood Creek Wines. Oh yes; did we mention the amazing views of those iconic chimneys you will get, from inside our glass roofed marquee?

Also in the Party tent, we will be offering finishers the opportunity to get their official Tissot Racing-Touch Photo memento, recording you, your time and all the bragging rights you can muster, offered free of charge and uploaded to MH Survival Facebook page almost instantly. Please do bear in mind – this service has been extremely popular at recent events so do expect to queue for this free service.

For those who plan to make an evening of it, Novemberfest will run well into the evening and your friends are all welcome. If you want to go home and get changed and then come back – no problem. We will have live bands playing during the evening plus music from the Stars Gym DJ crew. The first live set will kick off at 2pm with The Undones, playing a varied set with plenty of lively upbeat numbers, catchy pop tunes and some mellow classics. With influences from The Strokes, Blur, The Doors and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Undones should do it nicely thanks very much!

One more thing to note - our After Party tent is pretty big, but it’s still got a capacity, which is limited to 1000 people at any one time. If we fill up, we’ll be operating a strict one in/ one out policy.

OK – well – that’s all from us for now. Auf wiedersehen until Novemberfest. And of course, in the meantime, there’s just that little matter of 10km, 16 obstacle zones and a fair helping of mud, sweat and tears to contend with!
